The Project
El Cau is more than just an accommodation. It is a personal project by a couple in love with the Ribes Valley.
We are Jordi and Marta, a couple passionate about travelling and in love with the mountains, nature and the unique surroundings of Vall de Ribes.
We offer you a unique experience through a personalized stay. We offer advice, listening to your interests to help you make the most of your days in the mountains. We’ll welcome you in person on arrival and, if you wish, we can help you plan and design your explorations, routes and visits according to your preferences.
We’re close to you, just ask!
We believe in mindful, respectful and sustainable tourism. That’s why we offer you comfortable accommodation, thoughtfully designed and equipped to become your own space.
We love the local area, and we have formed to understand and explain it, with the aim of contributing to a more mindful and respectful way of travelling.
We are an Information Point for the Natural Park of the Ter and Freser Headwaters.

El Cau de Ribes is officially accredited as an Information Point for the Natural Park of the Ter and Freser Headwaters. We have taken part in the first edition of the Good Park Knower course and our accommodation has entered into a collaboration agreement with the management body of the PNCTF to contribute to the dissemination and knowledge of visitors to the environment and the values of the park.

Adherents to the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism
El Cau de Ribes has obtained the CETS certificate as part of the first batch of businesses in Ripollès, making it the only tourist accommodation in the area with this accreditation, and thereby reaffirming our commitment to the environment and the Park.
More info
The European Charter for Sustainable Tourism is a voluntary method and commitment to apply the principles of sustainable tourism, aimed at the managers of protected natural areas and the tourism businesses in the territory.
It is an initiative of the Europarc Federation that promotes the management and enjoyment of protected natural areas across Europe in a more responsible way towards the land.
The Natural Park of the Ter and Freser Headwaters (PNCTF) has been a member of the CETS since 2019, extending the CETS territory to the entire Ripollès region.
We are committed to more sustainable mobility.
