We like to think that this character from the late 19th century cherished this land, watered by the three rivers that run through it: the Freser, the Rigart and the Segadell, and that, lost in this reverie, he one day fell into the river’s current. Whatever the day the river took him downstream in the face of the distress of the neighborhood that asked him “how’s it going?” Met was answering a quiet “go on.” Today, the rivers remain a defining feature of our village; they cool us in the summer, are a source of biodiversity and shape our local identity. What’s more, they can now watch this figure representing the Met, which can be found in various places around the village, reminding us of this philosophy of “going with the flow” as a synonym for tranquillity and enjoying the present moment.
